What you'll do

You’ll provide quality, efficient and effective assurance and influence business managers to improve control, while supervising team members and supporting them through coaching, and helping them to realise their potential.

You’ll also provide timely and well positioned feedback on team and individual performance, and drive assurance for regular and complex engagements.

You’ll also:

  • Use a commercial mind-set, and make sure that the engagement team works efficiently
  • Leverage IA’s industry leading audit methodology and tools
  • Ensure compliance with global methodology within engagements and accurately keep the audit management tool up to date
  • Manage multiple audits and activities at the same time
  • Effectively contribute to IA departmental initiatives as directed, such as virtual teams and departmental projects

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for an experienced internal or external auditor or risk manager, with a thorough grounding in risk management principles, monitoring and testing effective controls and a meticulously investigative approach. You’ll need to be able to demonstrate how you’ve successfully managed and delivered projects, audit or otherwise while keeping a firm hand on budget, time and quality.

You’ll need to be a fully qualified chartered accountant with an ICAS, ICAEW or ACCA qualification with demonstrable post qualified experience.

You’ll also need:

  • A keen eye for detail with strong analytical and problem solving abilities
  • A thorough grounding in monitoring and testing effective controls
  • An awareness and understanding of data analytics, with the ability to assess and prioritise data effectively
  • Working knowledge of the Finance function, covering areas including Financial Control and Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, and Franchise and Services Finance
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage relationships with and influence senior stakeholders
