You will also have the opportunity to work on audio work streams to assist and influence the development of innovative audio electronics solutions in Sky’s products.

What you’ll do:

  • Drive the audio electronics design of a product development through concept, design, optimisation, validation, and mass production phases.

  • Work directly with the lead hardware engineer and project management team on audio electronics for a given project.
  • Perform schematic design entry and work with the CAD team on PCB layout.
  • Work with software, test, and manufacturing teams on audio bring-up, development, and fine-tuning.
  • Work with the Supply Chain Manufacturing team on production line testing.
  • Provide status reports to the hardware engineering lead, and project management team.
  • Provide input into the planning for delivery of new audio products or features.
  • Identify technical changes necessary to realise specific audio requirements.
  • Contribute to technical audio investigations, identifying and applying creative problem-solving methods and debugging techniques.

What you’ll bring:

  • Previous experience in an audio hardware design engineering role, including analogue and digital circuit design.
  • Expert at bring-up, debug, validation, and optimisation of audio electronics.
  • Proficient with schematic capture and PCB layout tools and systems, ideally using Altium Designer.
  • Design for Cost and Design for Manufacture experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with the Audio Precision APx audio analyser platform, National Instruments test equipment, and MATLAB.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities.
  • A positive can-do attitude whilst working in a fast-paced, energetic team.
