This is a remote position, requiring the ability to work virtually

This role doesn’t support completion of the Canadian CPA designation

The London AC services all Canadian time zones, therefore business hours will vary and overtime is required

What You'll Create and Do

As a Senior Specialist, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Conducting audit testing on specific areas of the audit file

Conduct testing and document control test results including examining process/control and financial evidence, and document test evaluation results

Provide related deliverables in accordance with the Acceleration Centre user guides

Examine audit results including examining process/control and financial evidence, and document test evaluation results

Review the work performed by Assurance Specialists

Develop the skills of team members through regular and ongoing informal coaching and feedback (written and verbal)

Understand the process workflow related to work requests from initiation through completion, how workflow is managed within the firm's workflow management tool

Participate in training and other developmental opportunities

What You’ll Bring to This Role

An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work

A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives

Education in Accounting or Finance preferred

Experience with financial data testing, accounting or auditing experience

Technical aptitude for learning new applications and databases

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including English, ability to communicate and manage expectations with engagement teams and clients

Demonstrated self-motivation and a desire to take responsibility for personal growth and development

Commitment to teamwork in professional, classroom or networking environments

Contribute to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; proactively seek guidance, clarification and feedback

Attention to detail with the ability to participate, communicate and apply knowledge to deliver quality results

Effective problem solving skills and the ability to prioritize and successfully multitask
