In your role as Associate SOE Engineer, you will be part of our extensive Intelligent Workspace business line, who support each other working collaboratively across various Datacom and client locations throughout all of Australia.

About the Role

As Associate SOE Engineer, you will provide endpoint vulnerability management, endpoint compliance and risk mitigation services to our managed customer base. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing automated monthly patching of operating systems and Tier 0 and 1 application security patching, advanced desktop and application analytics, antivirus console management and distribution of AV signatures to endpoints.

We place a high degree of focus on developing our staff internally and offer financial incentives for engineers that certify in the technologies we use to support our customers.

The role is open in all Datacom offices in Australia.

What you’ll do

As Associate SOE Engineer, the core objectives and responsibilities of your role would include:

Using tools and processes to deliver services to customers in accordance with SLAs and ensure endpoint devices are regularly updated

Proactively manage and maintain customer security profile with regard to standard endpoint management processes

Initiate and drive service and process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and improve customer service

Own personal development, by maintaining certifications relevant to the role

Engaging collaboratively with internal and external parties

Proactively contribute to the team and Datacom’s success

What you’ll bring

We are looking for someone with 5 years plus experience in the IT industry, preferably within an IT outsourced environment. You will bring advanced End User Support experience, a desire to learn, and an exceptional work ethic. You will have strong troubleshooting and customer service skills and be able to work autonomously.

You will ideally have knowledge of hardware and software vendors support processes, including product lifecycles and experience with SCCM, Intune, Windows 7, 8 and 10. You have had exposure to a range of AV tools and consoles and a deep understanding of the ASD “Essential 8” and endpoint security mitigation approaches.
