Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's of Law degree (LLB) or equivalent practical experience.
• Qualified solicitor, with experience in private practice or in an in-house team.
• Experience in developing, drafting, and advising clients on commercial and technology contracts, including multi-jurisdictional transactions.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in advising and discussing legal issues in the financial technology, e-commerce, telecoms, IT, payments, or financial services sector.
• Experience with FinTech-related regulatory issues in the UK and EMEA.
• Interest in the disruptive payments industry and a desire to learn.

You will create and advise on a wide variety of commercial agreements supporting Google’s expanding range of FinTech and payments-focused products, working with clients and Legal colleagues in Google offices throughout EMEA and the US.

Responsibilities

• Consult on a wide range of commercial agreements and maintain templates that comply with company policies and local law including data privacy.
• Develop expertise in a range of Google’s FinTech-focused products and build robust cross-functional relationships in our various EMEA and US offices.
• Advise executive management, business clients, and US Legal teams on various aspects of English law.
• Be a guide on legal issues and risks, complex agreement structures, and company policies in both local and global contexts.
