Our Data Triage team play a key role in enabling the success of our data and analytics teams through the provision of triage, identifying issues and ensuring we resolve and mitigate future challenges.

As Associate Analyst, you’ll be responsible for first and initial response to a challenge, dealing with the in-day tasks through following and interpreting processes and supporting the team to deliver solutions. You’ll need to be curious to understand the ever-changing data and analytics environment and support the teams to deliver strong customer experiences.

More about the role

• Reactive resolution management for repetitive and standarised challenges and incidents
• Communicate across the team for in-day issues, keeping colleagues updated
• Proactively monitor data products and provide a level of triage; identify issues routing them to appropriate teams
• Work with Sainsbury’s Tech Service Operations & data teams to ensure regular and appropriate user communication
• Monitor status of all issues and ensure correct escalations are implemented.
• Start / Re-start failed processes if they have been designed to allow this.
• Be on call to support all data products

More about you

• Understanding of Data Warehousing, BI & Big Data platform concepts & uses
• Understanding of data ETL processes
• Strong introductory SQL, preferably on big data platforms, e.g. Snowflake, Big Query
• Introductory familiarity with BI tools e.g., MicroStrategy, PowerBI, etc.
• Introductory familiarity with cloud solutions preferably AWS
