Job Description

To be the assistant to the Business Partner for the internal customers of Inbound Supply Chain, principally B&M and deputizing for the BP where appropriate.

To be the nominated point of contact for those B&M department colleagues based in Dublin or Reading.

Provide the primary communication link between the Inbound Operations, Commercial and Origin teams and all assigned B&M teams

To be a dedicated focal point for Inbound customer service for every assigned department covering all relevant origins and destinations

To monitor and analyse the flow of department stock from the point of supplier booking through to delivery into destination depot

Communicate as required any exceptions to required handover dates, shipment dates or required delivery dates with impact statements.

Understand department objectives and priorities for the operating year and from season to season

To balance the objectives of the internal customer with the objectives of the Supply Chain Director and his team

To assist in providing subject matter expertise to all departments with regards planning, costing and monitoring their Inbound controlled flows

To assist in provide all necessary face to face training, guidance and advise to B&M teams relating to any Inbound supply chain related activities eg: new supplier set up, Asian national holiday PO planning, expediting /slowing stock to meet business priorities

To produce and assist in delivery of department level reporting on key inbound related service metrics eg: OTIF

Provide other Inbound teams with richer insight into department priorities ensuring all departments are treated fairly and we have a joined up business wide approach to daily/weekly/monthly planning.

Split between BDO and RBO would evolve in line with roll out of any changes associated with Global Buying structure

Role would ideally be embedded in an assigned department seating area to maximise proximity and mutual understanding

Assisting departments with relevant vendor queries and challenges and presenting solutions to problems.

Working seamlessly with our Supply Chain teams at origin and the Operations and Commercial teams in UK and ROI.

The ideal individual will have:

Customer facing experience within a Retail/FMCG/Supply Chain head office environment with a minimum 1 -3 years in a similar / relevant role

Good working knowledge of global supply chain process and procedure ideally within garments sector

A good understanding of how buying and merchandising teams work and their measures of success

The ability to thrive in a fast moving pressurized retail environment

A proven track record in improving customer engagement and satisfaction within previous roles

Excellent planning skills and be able to think and plan in advance.

Experience of large multinational network operations

Excellent skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

A digital mind set and appetite to embrace new technology solutions

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Interpersonal skills - discreet, trustworthy and have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally

A flexible approach to work and be capable of managing priorities.

Strong diplomacy skills and be prepared to deliver both good and bad news in an even handed manner

Excellent all round problem solving & influencing skills

Ability to work on own initiative away from most other Inbound team colleagues

Commercially focused considering end to end impacts on all stakeholders

Ability to work cross functionally within a team

Core Skills

Educated to degree level with 1+ years of experience in a similar or equivalent role

Experience working in a retail or FMCG focused head office environment highly desirable

Advanced Microsoft Office skills - particularly Excel and Powerpoint

Amazing analytical skills and a star of data manipulation

Excellent organisational, prioritisation and time management skills

Ability to review and design new process that will deliver beneficial change

Cultural awareness and sensitivity

Excellent problem solving, tactical thinking and planning skills

Relationship builder both internally and externally with strong influencing skills

Experience of working in a fast paced supply chain environment

Strong administrative skills

Effective communicator

2nd language skills a benefit
