About the team
Finance and Investment Division (FID) is a trusted advisor to the Transport cluster, and partners with our stakeholders to make all financial and funding considerations for our once-in-a-generation $72 billion infrastructure program.
We provide best in class financial services to support decision-making on transport services, infrastructure investment and delivery. FID plays a critical role in project planning and funding, enterprise planning and financial management and control.

The opportunity
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Asset Accountant to join our dynamic Asset Accounting team and be part of managing the Transport cluster’s $150 billion asset portfolio.
The role provides a range of asset accounting and reporting services to meet internal and external reporting and analysis requirements, as well as statutory compliance obligations to support the achievement of business objectives.
Key accountabilities:
Assisting in the development and implementation of policies, systems and procedures to identify, record, value, depreciate, account and report on fixed assets
Coordinating the consolidation of fixed asset information to enable a complete and accurate record of the identification, location and value of the cluster’s fixed assets
Assisting in the periodic revaluations of assets and ensuring compliance with applicable standards and policies
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to complete fixed asset stocktake and revaluations
Researching and providing timely and accurate information and advice to Senior Management.
This role provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating and partnering with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure high quality asset stewardship.

About you
You are tertiary qualified (Finance, Accounting, Commerce or related discipline) with relevant industry experience, and have, or are working towards, full membership of a recognised professional accounting body (CPA/CA ANZ or equivalent).
With a proven track record of business partnering, you will have demonstrated asset and statutory accounting, analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
You are someone who works collaboratively with others and builds and maintains strong team relationships. The successful candidate will be committed to managing and prioritising competing demands and responsibilities in a busy and evolving environment.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is Grade 7A ($106,086) – 7E ($118,816) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
