Job Description

Roles and responsibility

  • To successfully completes all modules required to achieve a Engineering Technician level 3 (Fabrication) qualification.

  • Undertaking managed in-house competency training to build a competent skillset in the operation of all relevant manual and CNC machinery.

  • To have a CAN DO attitude to study and get on the job learning experience and also attend day release to a local college.

  • Maintains a portfolio over the duration of the apprenticeship, of skills learned and projects completed.

  • Work within a committed company and adhering to all Health & Safety procedures.

Skills

  • Completed minimum of year 1 of an engineering related qualification. (essential)

  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to quality (essential)

  • Can follow instructions clearly and work with minimal supervision (essential)

  • Ability to work within strict timescales (essential)

  • Good time management (essential)

  • Good communication skills (essential)

  • Experience and understanding of engineering drawings (desirable)

  • Full drivers license (desirable)

Working hours

  • Hours of Work - Standard Shop Floor Hours

  • 39 hours per week

Core hours Monday to Thursday, 07.00 to 16.00, Friday 07.00 to 12.00 (early finish on a Friday)

Role is it on site?

This role is an on-site role but will require offsite attendance to college.
