Introduction:
Reporting to the Boeing Joint Fleet Planning Team (JFPT) Lead this role will be part of the Boeing element of the JFPT, based at the UK Apache AH-64E Main Operating Base (MOB) at Wattisham, Suffolk. Suitable candidates will require demonstrable aviation fleet planning experience ideally on rotary wing aircraft, and be able to balance the often competing requirements of a 50-strong fleet of Apache AH-64E that is in constant use both in the UK and abroad. The role requires planning and tracking of the configuration, usage and maintenance requirements of individual aircraft within the fleet and their timely and effective allocation to user organisations (e.g. Army Air Corps (AAC) Squadrons, the Apache Operational Conversion Unit (OCU), etc.).
As embedded Boeing staff within a multi-functional, customer-led organisation, sound communication, briefing and negotiation skills are essential for this role. Successful candidates will be able to formulate clear and workable plans from complex data, brief, and convince, senior stakeholders, issue timely fleet management direction and fully understand the risks and implications of any plans formulated and decisions made. Successful candidates will possess a working knowledge of MAA Regulatory Articles (RAs), MAA Regulatory Publications (MRP) Part 145 and Part M, aviation Quality Assurance (QA) and Safety Management Systems (SMS), and be able to demonstrate the application of these requirements within their area of Responsibility Accountability and Authority (RAA).
