Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience coding in Java.
• Experience with configuration, debugging, and troubleshooting with software technologies.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with mobile Android/iOS development and/or mobile web development.
• Excellent problem solving skill and desire to work on diverse projects involving interesting technical challenges.
• Understanding of Android operating system.

The Android team addresses the needs in the unique Indian market with its relative affordability of cellular data, regulatory space, digital payment standards, and preference for entertainment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality enhancements to Android to better serve the Indian market, including working with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and operators and across different Product Areas within Google. Be a technical expert and point-of-contact for Android for India.
• Design and maintain the product and test configuration, including branch configurations and automated tests.
• Monitor performance for changes between Android builds, including maintaining internal performance test suites and dashboards and investigating regressions.
• Collaborate with other teams building Android features.
• Assist with device configuration of internal reference devices.
