We have an opportunity for an Ancillary & Associated Development Lead to join our team at Hinkley Point C.
This is an exciting time to join the G4S Facilities Management Team at Hinkley Point C. We are three years into our ten year contract, working on the largest construction site in Europe.
The first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years; Hinkley Point C in Somerset will provide low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy.
Construction and operation of Hinkley Point C will create 25,000 employment opportunities, up to 1,000 apprenticeships and 64% of the project’s construction value is predicted to go to UK companies. There are currently over 4,000 workers on site.
This is a full time role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. The salary for this role is £44,000 per annum.
As Ancillary & Associated Development Lead, you will be expected to lead the Ancillary & Associated Development teams and report to the Project Manager. Assist the Project Manager in taking full responsibility for the
delivery of the following services: Cleaning Services, General Duties & PPM’s on the AD sites. The Ancillary & AD Lead must possess good communication skills and the ability to manage and organize their team as well as ensuring that good customer relationships are maintained. You will be expected to have an excellent working
knowledge of the contract and the relevant KPI’s applicable to the service lines for which you are responsible.
The team will need to be developed and supported and it will be expected that through cross training improved staff utilization will be achieved. With the support of the Project Manager you will ensure that clear and concise operating procedures are in place to cover all activities.
You will need to work closely with Operational Management and The Customer and regularly liaise with a range of wider internal and external programme stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities of this role are:
Manage, arrange and coordinate all PPM tasks (reactive repairs, refurbishment and planned maintenance) through the hard services team and CAFM system ensuring these are closed out in accordance with the Clients SLA.
Scheduling and planning for the AD teams.
Deal with all daily issues on AD site, raise reactive tasks as necessary with the Central Service Desk and ensure tasks are allocated correctly, progressed within agreed timescales and closed out, extended or mitigated where necessary to minimise financial deductions.
Lead the team to deal effectively and safely with breakdowns and damage to assets etc. within their range of qualifications, training and experience as required and by out of hours response where necessary.
To assist the Project Manager in managing the departmental budget
To assist the Project Manager in the collating of monthly and annual reports for ultimate submission to the client outlining; activities, achievements and general operational performance for the reporting period
Lead inspection and audits to various types of services on the AD sites.
Maintain detailed drawings and operational procedures for the AD sites
To ensure that robust procedures and processes are in place and adhered to in order to maintain staffing levels appropriate to contractual requirements
Assisting in the development of routines, procedures and documentation of records.
Work with other service lines to ensure continued service delivery at a high standards
Participate in emergency call out arrangements on the AD sites.
Conduct and manage employee EDR
To develop, improve and maintain an exceptionally strong working relationship with client contacts, subcontractors, suppliers and G4S staff
To manage and allocate resources to meet daily delivery schedules and business requirements for these services within the prescribed budget
To work closely with the client, offering and sharing advice & knowledge, taking a joined up approach in relation to FM service delivery
To lead and develop a multi skilled team to meet both the client and operational demands.
Carry out any other duties that may be reasonably requested by management.
To assist the Project Manager in any projects at the AD sites or main HPC site.
To scope and quote any new associated developments which may fall under the contract.
To deputise for the project manager when on leave/sickness etc.
To liaise with the CAFM team with any data capture/uploading of asset information.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Essential Requirements are:
Experience within the FM industry covering both Hard and Soft services.
Experience of building and facilities maintenances
Good working knowledge of CAFM systems
Excellent IT knowledge
Previous experience in multiple site facilities management
