Analytics Lead

The purpose of this role is to identify opportunities to improve business outcomes through the use of analytical techniques, working with Local Markets and Group to understand their requirements and find and/or develop appropriate analytical products. You will build and deliver analytical models that drive value (revenue upturn, cost decrease and/or customer & employee engagement improvements), as well as build and deliver automations which will help digital transformation of stakeholders.

You will be required to create and maintain analytics datasets, which are sourced from different systems and be main accountable for data integrity and quality, and partner with Product Manager & delivery teams within Shared Services to deliver analytics solutions & insight.

You will create a pipeline of analytical products and services that can be deployed across Vodafone as well as driving innovation by employing new analytical techniques, collaborating with wider Data & Analytics team. You will also collaborate with Product Design Leads to embed Analytics into dashboards & applications to create greater relevance and impact for Vodafone.

What will you be doing?

• Stakeholder management and engagement with new stakeholders from from Group and OpCos to address their analytics needs and shape and define our Analytics Products/Projects Portfolio based on these requirements
• Own specification and delivery of analytical products and services
• Manage analytics portfolio and products by continuous improvement of existing products and developing new products based on stakeholder needs
• Develop new analytics solutions through descriptive, predictive and/or prescriptive analytics techniques
• Manage delivery through partner organisation in GBIS (Global BI Services in Vodafone Shared Services)  
• Maintain data sources and models up to date
• Maintain up to date knowledge and emerging trends in analytics and challenge the status quo

Who are we looking for?

• Proven data analytics experience (data science, data analysis, data management) 
• Understanding of analytical techniques and competencies (e.g. Machine Learning / statistical modelling)
• Excellent numeracy skills
• A track record of working with large unstructured data sets to generate business insight
• Experience with working across business and IT teams; ideally both on and off-shore
• Experience in agile way of working
• Having hands on experience with analytics tools (e.g R, Python, Alteryx), visualisation tools (e.g. Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI), cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) and database/SQL (e.g. Oracle)
• Strong communication skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Storytelling with data
