About this role

Being multi-disciplined you will be supporting our project as well as the team. You will provide meaningful insights and understand current processes from a credit risk perspective, as we continue our journey in connecting people for good and being responsible lenders. Being trusted with an array of highly sensitive information, you will be proficient with reporting, analytics, and recommendations, as we focus on affordability to ensure we do the right thing by our customers. Stakeholder management will be key as you interact with 3rd parties and other teams within BT. You will be working with our technology colleagues to formulate meaningful data from bureaus, helping to bring key information into our infrastructure in a secure manner. Understanding credit risk is paramount as well as being adaptive to change. As you deep dive in, you will identifying risks and issues will be key to what you do, as you highlight opportunities to improve. You will provide insights and recommendations to important stakeholders and will drive continuous improvement to ensure responsible lending. You will be involved in helping us improve and evolve our current analytics, analytical methodologies, and processes to ensure it is in line with FCA regulatory requirements. This is a great role with fantastic prospects – you will undertake a lot of responsibility whilst being heavily involved in many areas of the analytics spectrum, in a very exciting time to work for BT.

You'll have the following responsibilities

Be the CRF Team Lead and be accountable for Credit risk data and analytics strategy decisions to support the implementation of responsible lending in line with FCA and JMLSG regulatory requirements in Stakeholder workshops.

Build data pipelines to enable Analytics and Insight team to easily consume and analyse all new specialised credit risk data blocks being delivered to support responsible lending.

Be conducting deep dives into problem areas through data mining to understand underlying drivers of Risk & Fraud trends

Be the first POC and Relationship Owner for the new FICO DMP , Experian PCO , Single Customer View , AML and Bureaux data feeds being introduced into the Data infrastructure to ensure our analytical requirements are met with the Central Data Management Teams in Group Business Services and Enterprise Data Management Teams.

Leading and supporting the development of new risk monitoring, to ensure we are able to demonstrate adherence of policies and processes in line with FCA and JMLSG requirements for KYC and AML checks and exposure for all loan agreements.

Utilise the appropriate risk measurement data models, processes, standards and principles to make great quality and well understood new data available to drive cutting edge analytics and insights into Credit Risk strategies, policies and processes to support responsible lending, data governance and FCA regulations for Consumer credit .

Manage analytical requirements capture, understand data gaps, and work with internal teams and external suppliers (CRA, Authetication Vendors) in acquiring data to drive cutting edge analytics and insights into Credit Risk Acquisition and In-life strategies, policies and processes to support responsible lending for loan agreements.

Inputs into overall new Denver Credit Risk and Fraud strategies, policies and processes with real time insight and analysis to help drive continuous improvement.

Analysis and Insight – utilise Credit Risk, Customer, Unit and Vendor datamarts to deliver insight on factors impacting Acquisition strategy and churn.

Be a decision maker on best practice for Credit Risk insight and analytical methodologies and a recommender of high priority target areas to process leads to support responsible lending.

Manages multiple large data sources to ensure availability, completeness and quality of analytics.

Be centralised POC for management and explanation of team KPI’s, performance, demographic analysis and trends.

Work closely with stakeholders and third party suppliers to maximise data sources and full understanding of CR&F data to support BT trading targets.

Lead specific projects to deliver improvements to CR&F processes across the credit risk lifecycle.

Coaching and train team members on the understanding of complex analytical risk data.

You'll have the following skills & experience

 

Strong SAS skills

Experience in SQL, Python or R

Big data manipulation skills

High volume consumer credit risk experience

Good knowledge and understanding of Credit bureau data blocks, Experian PCO/FICO DMP (Blaze), Credit parameters and levers

Third party Supplier management and engagement

Senior stakeholder engagement

Presentation of findings in a clear and inspiring manner

Understanding of Business acquisition, in-life and collections policies and processes
