Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • To work alongside the head of EMEA forecasting in the quarterly production of pan-European office forecasts, taking increasing responsibility over time. This will involve all stages from data curating/checking, forecast creation and presentation output.
  • Assist with the production of the six monthly MSCI forecasts.
  • Assist the head of Analytics with any one-off projects as required.
  • Assist with the output of client scenario projects on a quarterly basis
  • Liaise with sector specialists and research teams on data and forecasts, incorporate sentiment from key internal stakeholders. 
  • Attend and contribute to internal and external presentations as appropriate
  • Assist with writing forecast blog pieces each quarter and maintain a watching brief on changing office market conditions (structural).
  • Input to consultancy projects related to forecasting and/or other quantitative techniques.
  • Work closely with other economists and data scientists on research and development projects and continuous model improvement. 
  • Assist with ad hoc projects.


Required Qualifications

·   An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in economics, statistics, econometrics or a related discipline with a high numerical content.

·  Strong organizational and analytical skills, able to demonstrate good time management skills.

·     Ability to work well under pressure, with multiple/competing deadlines.

·       Strong quantitative and analytical skills particularly in econometrics.

·   Use of Eviews (or similar) and/or other statistical packages (e.g., STATA, R and Python) would be an advantage.

·   Experience of working with Tableau, PowerBI and other visualization software an advantage.

·     A team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

·     Self-motivated, strong attention to detail and an ability to check own work.

·     A critical thinker.
