Analyst, Web drives analytics and testing plans for Walmart Canada's sites. - Understand Ecommerce business requirements and objectives and translate them into technical specifications to ensure end to end implementation.
- Analyze, solve, and deliver measurable insights from Walmart digital properties including website and web app.
- Manage ad-hoc requests and proactively analyze marketing data for key findings.
- Manage tracking and reporting across different sections of the site, features/functionalities, and overall performance.
- Document functional requirements and identify gaps and risks related to tracking.
- Continuous engagement with product owners and business stakeholders to take new requirements and help the analytics team execute, QA and UAT tags.
- Develops functionality by following internal development standards. Technical solution to include detailed design documentation, code, configuration, and other supporting technical documents.
- Data validation, building data pipelines, and ensuring data accuracy and quality.
- Conduct meetings and maintain relations with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and assess their data needs.
- Stay on top of tracking and troubleshoot tag deployments in tag management systems (Adobe Launch).
- Build reports, manage custom dimensions, segments and goals in Adobe and Google Analytics for product teams.
- Create detailed dashboards to deliver standardized reporting for site and campaign performance dictated by business objectives and KPIs.
- Work with the web analytics team to foster a culture of data-driven decision making across Ecommerce.
- Perform data quality audits, QA tags, identify data collection issues, suggest improvements, implement fixes, and automation testing using ObservePoint.
Qualifications:
- Undergrad or master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Marketing Analytics, or related Quantitative Field.
- At least 3-5 years of extensive, hands-on experience implementing, integration and reporting in Analytics Tools.
- Expert knowledge of web analytics tools (Omniture/Adobe Analytics required, Google Analytics 360).
- Knowledge of using TMS solution (Adobe Launch, Tealium).
- Hands on experience with GA360, Google Marketing Cloud, Big Query and Data Studio.
- Well versed with Web Development lifecycle, Agile methodology and Atlassian products.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel (advanced lookups, pivot tables).
- Experience with dashboard building tools (e.g., Tableau) considered an asset.
- Advanced knowledge of floodlight tags and third-party tags integration.
- Understanding of front-end development languages and frameworks is a plus.
- Basic Knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, SQL, and CSS.
- Familiarity with Ecommerce website structure, checkout, and payment flows.
- Self-motivated, self-starter and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize competing requests, and meeting project deadlines with a demonstrated understanding of project management principles.
- Ability to collaborate and work closely with the development team on implementation requirements.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written), relationship building skills, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform tasks individually and contribute as a team player.
- Previous Ecommerce experience will make it easier to settle in this role.
