The Role 

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide anaesthetic care and assistance for adults, paediatrics and neonates in the theatre unit and deliver anaesthetic care and assistance in other areas as required I.E. Delivery Suite; Emergency Department; Dental Extraction Clinic; Dental services; Intensive Care and Diagnostic Imaging.

You will be responsible for the assessment of care needs and ensuring that high quality standards of patient care is given through evidence-based practice. The post holder will also assist in practice development and will be required to teach, support, develop and assess junior staff. You will also be able to take charge in the absence of senior staff.

Also on offer is a monthly education forum alongside anaesthetic colleagues and downtime for CPD activities.

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a registered Anaesthetic Technician/ODP.
• Applicants must be registered of eligible for registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand (MSC).
• Commitment to maintaining and improving professional knowledge, skills, and competence in line with the (MSC)
