Our client is now looking for an Alarm Handler to join their busy team in Waterlooville and Altrincham 

Salary: £21,000 - £23,000 per year Supplement further with monthly bonuses for additional responsibilities

 Shifts: 12 Hours on a 4-day rolling period. (4 Days On, 4 Days Off, 4 Days On, 4 Days Off, 4 Nights On, 4 Days Off) We operate 24/7, 365 days a year. 

About the role:

The role requires the use of computers and telephone systems to provide appropriate responses to signals from remote alarm installations and the dispatch of the emergency services when required. 

You will be expected to answer a variety of inbound calls from both customers and alarm engineers in their busy control room and deal with their requests as appropriate. 

Their main point of contact with their customers and their clients is by telephone, and their staff need a friendly but firm telephone manner, with the ability to take control of what can be a sensitive situation. They operate within set procedures using specially designed computer software, and full in-house training and mentoring will be given. Progression within the company is through a structured training and assessment process. 

There is the option to complete additional over time and standby once training is completed. Owing to the nature of the position, it is necessary to carry out security and financial screening of all prospective employees prior to commencement of employment which involves verification of employment and residence. 

Alarm Handler Requirements: Excellent Telephone Manner; Keyboard Skills; To be able to pay attention to detail; To be a team player; Customer Service, call centre or administration experience would be of benefit, but not essential for the right candidate. GCSE or equivalent (preferred) Experience: customer service: 1 year (preferred)
