We are making significant changes to how we deliver our mahi by
Our organisation is made up of talented and committed people across Aotearoa from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures. While we work in different groups and on different things, we all strive every day to make the biggest difference we can for every child, young person and adult student in our education system.
About our group and team
Te Puna Hanganga, Matihiko | Infrastructure & Digital - Te TÄhuhu o te MÄtauranga | Ministry of Education, leads inclusive, accessible and integrated national, digital and physical infrastructure and transport services to the education system.
Our vision for school property is that all schools have quality learning environments as part of a well-managed and sustainable portfolio that helps deliver equitable and excellent outcomes for every child.
The Operational Practice and Funding (OP&F) team provides support to our property delivery teams within the Property Delivery group. OP&F is the conduit between National Office and frontline regional property teams to support the successful management of the practice framework and funding entitlements for schools. We do this by providing staff with the tools, resources, training, and learning and development they need to deliver quality advice and assistance to schools and suppliers. We are also responsible for managing key property related funding streams and processes through accurate calculation, allocation, quality assurance and modelling activities that equates to approximately $700 million annually.
About the roles
We have a range of positions available (Advisor and Senior Advisor) with a mix of permanent, fixed term, and secondment opportunities based in National Office in Wellington. Inter-agency secondments applications will be considered.
We are looking for people with skills and experience in all aspects of operational business support. This can include anything from operational practice and policy, communications writing, project and programme management, training development, finance and funding, reporting and analysis, tools and systems, contracts and procurement, asset management and construction.
The Operational Practice and Funding team is growing to meet future business demand, so there are lots of opportunities to learn and grow in the team and try new things. It means we can provide development opportunities within and outside the team, and assign work based on skills and interest.
