About the role

We are looking for an Advisor - Cyber Security Risk and Advisory to join a global team to contribute to the improvement of Rio Tinto’s cyber security posture through the provision of pragmatic cyber security guidance and by conducting cyber security risk assessments to identify risks and appropriate controls.

Reporting to the Cyber Security Risk Lead, APAC West and working in collaborative, supportive environment within our global Cyber Security team, you will be responsible for:

• Providing effective and pragmatic cyber security guidance for key IT and OT technology projects, enabling the organisation to innovate securely.
• Conducting cyber security risk assessments of new and existing technologies to identify risks, appropriate controls that balance security and operability.
• Supporting the execution of cyber security deep dives and risk diagnostics targeting key functions, technologies and systems within the Rio Tinto landscape
• Communicating risk assessment findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, including Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) business partners and project stakeholders.
• Conduct supplier, service provider and RFP contract reviews.

What you’ll bring

A desire and willingness to learn more about Cyber Security in the Mining Industry

A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team

Practical experience in a cyber security-based role, preferably in a large organisation, or a similar asset intensive industry.

Experience in identifying and understanding cyber security risk, preferably in both Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) contexts.

Familiarity with industry leading cyber security frameworks for identifying and managing cyber security risk (eg NIST, ISO, NERC CIP, ISA/IEC etc.)

Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills to build credibility and collaboration
