The Role

Our client are an established independent firm of Accountants, based close to Doncaster. Due to continued growth within the business, they are looking to recruit a qualified AAT or part qualified ACCA Accounts Semi Senior.

The business support a varied client base of mainly small to medium sized OMB's, as a result the role will offer an excellent opportunity to develop experience within a full accounting environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful individual will support a team of qualified accountants and will assist in the following :

• Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Preparation of Management Accounts
• Preparing corporate and personal tax returns
• Client Bookkeeping duties: inputting of sales, purchases and expenses invoices in order to prepare profit and loss statement
• Preparation of VAT returns

Skills and Qualities

To be considered for this position it is likely you will be qualified AAT or part qualified ACCA with at least 3 years of experience working within a firm of accountants.

You will have developed experience of preparing statutory accounts and tax computation with little supervision. Applications of individuals who have decided not to take the formal qualification route but have developed suitable experience within a firm of accountants would also be encouraged.

A good working knowledge of Iris, Sage and Xero accounting software will also be a distinct advantage.
