This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Burnaby, British Columbia area and will be a long-term contract position. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be expected to match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.
Your responsibilities
- Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents
- Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
- Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail
- Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling
- Perform special projects as assigned
- Perform full-cycle A/P
- Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department
- Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners
- Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
A Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Proficiency in account reconciliation
- Oracle experience
- Accounts Payable (AP) experience
- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
- Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
