Description

There is an opening at a promising Plastics Manufacturing company via Robert Half for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk interested in developing their career. This position is for candidates with the ability to to match, batch and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. The opening for a permanent Accounts Payable Clerk is in the Stoney Creek, Ontario area. You can advance your career with this exciting opportunity.

Major responsibilities

- Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners

- Execute additional tasks as needed

- Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed

- Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks

- Provide internal and external audit assistance as required

- Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed

- Implement full-cycle A/P

- Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis

- Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling

Requirements

- Spreadsheet and database capabilities

- 3+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred

- Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities

- Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

- Journal entries experience

- Accounts Payable (AP) experience

- Deep understanding of Vendor Payment

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
