Are you an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk that is looking for a short-term contract / temporary position? Robert Half is currently trying to fill this position with a candidate that wants to become a crucial part in a team environment. The Accounts Payable Clerk will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. If you are a collaborative team member with a positive attitude and effective communication skills, then this role is for you. Based out of the Elmira, Ontario area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short-term contract / temporary opening.

Responsibilities

- Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

- Conduct full-cycle A/P

- Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department

- Provide customer service to internal business partners

- Provide support during internal and external audits

- Execute additional tasks as needed

- Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed

- Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling

- Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis

Requirements

- High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills

- Microsoft Excel experience preferred

- Accounts Payable (AP) experience

- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

- 2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
