Agilus is recruiting for a Accounts Payable Clerk in the Industrial Sector in Markham, Ontario. Immediate opportunity to join a industrial sector. Reporting to Chief Administrator and Controller, you will be responsible for providing various accounting and clerical services including accounts payable, warranty reporting, processing of journal entries, monitoring and maintaining accounting files, and any other duties as assigned by Management. A typical day:

• Preparing cheque requisitions and obtaining appropriate authorization before inputting into the system for payment.
• Process inventory vendor invoices for payment
• Review vendor statements, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
• Maintaining various spreadsheets that are used for reporting and recording purposes to facilitate month end processing
• Inputting journal entries into JDE as required

Successful candidates will have:

• Post Secondary Certificate/Diploma in Accounting or Business
• 2+ years experience in a general accounting
• Familiarity with policies governing accounts payable as well as full cycle accounts payable process.
• MS Office software applications
• Ability to work in JDE, Oracle and Data Serv systems.

What's in it for you:

• Payrate: $22-23/hr
• Time: 8:30am to 4:30pm
• 1-2 months contract to possible extension
