Robert Half is looking for an English/Mandarin-speaking Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk available to start immediately. Located in Bolton, Ontario, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary opening. Career growth and quick advancement make this department a desirable place to work. The Accounts Payable Clerk matches and batches code invoices, resolve A/P issues, processes expense reports, updates and reconciles sub-ledger to G/L, and processes checks.

Your responsibilities in this role

• Verify, log, and send checks, including facilitating special handling
• Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them
• Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks
• Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
• Accomplish full-cycle A/P
• Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily
• Execute additional tasks as needed
• Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time
• Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners

Requirements

• Solid understanding of account analysis
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
• Detailed and have the ability to work independently
• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
• Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
• Competent with spreadsheets and databases
