Do you want to be an indispensable part of a flourishing team? Robert Half currently has an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk position available that is long-term contract / temporary to hire. Serving as the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. You will be working alongside a strong staff of hard working individuals who have a team minded approach. Based out of the Richmond, British Columbia area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire opening.

What you get to do every day

- Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time

- Complete special projects on an as-needed basis

- Assist with internal and external audits as needed

- Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling

- Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks

- Manage full-cycle A/P

- Provide support to internal business partners

- Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents

- Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily

Requirements

- Competent with spreadsheets and databases

- Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

- MS Dynamics 365 Business Central experience desired

- Deep understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

- Foundational knowledge in Purchase Orders

- Computer Data Entry experience

- Adeptness in Perform Data Entry

- Command of Microsoft Excel

- Strong attention to detail

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

- 1+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
