Robert Half has a short-term contract position available for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to become an integral part of a rapidly growing team at a company in the Healthcare, Hospitals, Social Assistance industry. Serving as the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. This is a fantastic role and you will have the opportunity for career growth and advancement within this dynamic department. Based out of the Toronto, Ontario area.
Your responsibilities in this role
- Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs
- Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling
- Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it
- Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed
- Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them
- Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned
- Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department
- Complete full-cycle A/P
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
- Competent with spreadsheets and databases
- Excellent attention to detail
- Microsoft Great Plains Accounting experience
- Accounts Payable (AP) experience required
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
