    Insurance and Wealth Chief Operating Office (IWCOO) provides critical services to the Group’s customers, supporting them with their Insurance and Wealth needs. We are responsible for delivering exceptional service to our Life, Pensions and Investments (LP&I), General Insurance (GI) and Wealth customers.

    Scottish Widows Workplace Savings (SWWS) within IWCOO is made up of recently acquired Corporate Savings and Pensions business. This acquisition builds on Scottish Widows’ growth to date, providing opportunities to accelerate our strategy to become a market leading UK pensions and savings business. This proposition complements our current offering with new products and a modern, flexible workplace savings platform. SWWS is an end – to – end business based in Barnwood, servicing over 700, 000 members with around £21bn of assets under management (AUM).

    We have are looking for an Accounts & CASS Analyst to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to start a successful career in the Group!

    Key accountabilities:

    • Undertakes a range of complex CASS technical support tasks e.g. data compilation, reconciliation, research and analysis and make recommendations for improvement to, e.g. decision tools and processes; procedures and systems.

    • Interprets data and root cause behind discrepancies and applies learning in the form of education to the service teams.

    • Assists with MI production and financial analysis, including assets under administration and other ad-hoc requests.

    • Provides mentorship on a range of technical queries, using own judgment and interpretation as the need arises, to ensure the timely provision of high quality information and support.

    • Establishes and maintains contacts across the business unit in order to identify customer requirements and provide appropriate support.

    • Assists more senior colleagues, to ensure that all work within the area is completed accurately and adheres to specified Group policies, processes and procedures and relevant external regulations where required.

    • Assists in the planning of projects, audits, scheduling of implementations, maintenance of project plans, collaborating closely with technical departments, users and other colleagues where required.

    • Meets customer needs related to simple products and services while following standardised protocols and/or provides back-office support to a customer advisor team.

    • Develops personal capabilities using training opportunities, while also coaching others.

    • Manages self to ensure adherence to relevant risk policies and frameworks and identifies, calls out and mitigates emerging risks as appropriate.

    • Work is typically allocated on a time frame in excess of one month and supervised on a daily, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

    • Contributes to own personal development to maintain knowledge of products and processes.

    • Delivers a high standard of customer experience at all times.

    Minimum Requirements for the role:

    • Demonstrates dedication and approaches demanding goals with passion

    • Builds good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

    EXPERIENCE

    • Relevant business and pensions experience

    • Experience in a financial services organisation with financial reconciliations and CASS background

    KNOWLEDGE

    • Good knowledge of the FCA CASS rules and their practical application

    • Solid understanding of financial accounting processes and practices

    • Awareness of customer needs and having the customer as the focus throughout

    • Desirable FNZ platform knowledge!
