Your responsibilities in this role
- Process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipts, and help with collection of past due balances to support Accounts Receivable
- Use a variety of sources to prepare statements and reports
- Reconcile discrepancies, and prepare correction documents as needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts
- File vendor invoices and disbursements and match & file A/P invoices to support accounts payable
- Code documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
- Use various methods to add financial information to journals and ledgers
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned
- Help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other general accounting project
- Candidates with Spreadsheet and ERP system experience will be prioritized
- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
- Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
- Journal entries experience
- ACCPAC experience
- Microsoft Excel experience
- 3+ years of accounting experience required
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Experience with high volume data entry
