Robert Half is seeking an individual to fill the role of an Accounting Clerk for an esteemed organization in the semi-conductors, electric component manu industry. The main tasks of the Accounting Clerk will be assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, and general forms of data entry. Key responsibilities
- Square up discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
- Categorize documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes
- Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of an array of sources
- Support Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
- Standard accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
- Support Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, help with collection of past due balance, and process daily invoices/credit
- Broadcast financial information to journals and ledgers
- Prior knowledge in Spreadsheet and ERP system
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
- Excellent data entry skills
- Adeptness in Microsoft Excel
- Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
- Strong familiarity with Freight Charges
- Foundational knowledge in Freight Costs
- Microsoft Excel experience
- Knowledge of logistics & distribution
- Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds
