Robert Half is seeking an Accounting Clerk, whose duties will be matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). Your responsibilities
- Post financial information to journals and ledgers
- Codify documents that require knowledge in determining the proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes
- Assist Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
- Contribute to Accounts Receivable: help with the collection of past balances, process daily invoices/credit, and apply cash receipt
- General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
- Produce statements and reports that require utilization of a wide range of sources
- Mend discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
Requirements
- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
- The ability to multitask and attention to detail is critical
- Prior experience in Spreadsheet and ERP system
- Experience with high volume data entry
- Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
- Microsoft Excel experience
- Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Deep understanding of Accounting Entries
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial auditing
- SAP experience
- Adeptness in ERP Solutions
- 2+ years of relevant experience
