Robert Half is seeking an Accounting Clerk, whose duties will be matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). Your responsibilities

  • Post financial information to journals and ledgers
  • Codify documents that require knowledge in determining the proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes
  • Assist Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
  • Contribute to Accounts Receivable: help with the collection of past balances, process daily invoices/credit, and apply cash receipt
  • General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
  • Produce statements and reports that require utilization of a wide range of sources
  • Mend discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

Requirements

  • AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
  • The ability to multitask and attention to detail is critical
  • Prior experience in Spreadsheet and ERP system
  • Experience with high volume data entry
  • Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Microsoft Excel experience
  • Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Deep understanding of Accounting Entries
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial auditing
  • SAP experience
  • Adeptness in ERP Solutions
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
