Robert Half is looking for the immediate help of an Accountant for a contract role in the Woodbridge area. Working for a well know company in the Industrial field, this is a great opportunity for a candidate who enjoys multi tasking in a fast paced environment. Responsibilities for this role include:

• Prepare and post journal entries
• Reconciliations (including account, bank, clearing, prepaids, credit cards, accruals)
• Prepare financial data and reports, including quarterly statistic reports
• Enter and process invoices for payment
• Audit employee expenses
• Review sales taxes
• Work with external agencies to submit and manage grant applications
• Commission accruals
• Provide general advice and guidance on business and financial matters when required
• Ad hoc tasks and assisting the Controller when required

Requirements

To be considered for this hands on, exciting role candidates should meet the following requirements:

• Must be fully bilingual (English & French)
• 5+ years of relevant Accounting experience required
• Accounting designation, or working towards a designation, highly preferred
• Strong ERP experience required (experience using Spire Software or MS Business NAV preferred but not required)
• Prior involvement in a merger/acquisition would be a strong asset, but not required
• Success driven, positive individual with strong work ethics and stellar interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
