The Role

Reporting to the Controller, the Accountant will assist with the month-end close. The Accountant will reconcile g/l accounts, prepare and post journal entries, manage fixed assets and inventory, prepare all government remittances, assist in standard costing and assist with financial statement preparation.

About You

You are a recently designated CPA looking for an exciting and rewarding position where you can utilize your accounting skills. You have 3+ years of general accounting experience including closing the month-end in a stable and tenured manufacturing environment. Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end, cost accounting, bank reconciliations, financial statement preparation and prepare/post journal entries).
• Inventory Control/Reconciliation
• Maintain and reconcile all G/L and sub-ledger accounts including bank accounts, A/R, Inventory, Fixed Assets, A/P
• Follow up with customers on overdue invoices and price variances
• Variance analysis
• Collaborate with Operations team
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Bank/treasury duties
• Maintain general ledger account setup and user access
• Assist with year-end audit
• Government remittances
• Assist with preparation of Board of Directors Package.
