Robert Half Accounting & Contract is looking for a great AP/Entry Level Accountant to join a rapidly growing organization locally. Reporting into the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be 100% focused on processing full-cycle accounts payables for the first 1-2 months however, if it proves to be a great long-term fit, this client would be able to assist with the growth of a CPA student taking areas in accounts receivables, general ledger, accruals, and eventually financial reporting. Located in Vancouver, British Columbia, this role is a 3-6 month contract with the opportunity to be considered permanent.

Requirements

- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferred

- Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills

- Strong attention to detail

- Proven knowledge of Adjusting Journal Entries

- Practical knowledge of Reconcile Bank Account

- QuickBooks experience desired

- Quality experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

- Wide ranging experience with Microsoft Excel

- Well-founded grasp of journal entries

- Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

- Proficiency in Vendor Compliance

- Computer Data Entry experience preferred

- Experience with accruals

- General familiarity with Reconcile Account

- Outstanding data entry skills

- An AA or BS/BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business suggested

- Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects

- 2+ years of relevant accounting experience necessary
