Description

Jump-start your career on the accounting track as an entry-level Accountant at Robert Half. You will be responsible for entering data, reviewing financial statements, and creating and manipulating Excel spreadsheets. As part of a dynamic team, you will report to the Accounting Manager and have an opportunity for career growth. This long-term contract / temporary to hire entry-level Accountant position is located in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Responsibilities

- Enter data

- Put together monthly journal entries

- Investigating and correcting account discrepancies

- Facilitating full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes

- Carrying out other related duties and participating in special projects as assigned

- Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts

- Aiding in audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits

Requirements

- Less than one year of experience

- Experience with high volume data entry

- AA degree or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred

- Be detailed, flexible, and organized

- Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferred

- Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects

- Demonstrated knowledge of Navision

- General familiarity with Cost Allocation

- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel

- Numeric data entry experience required

- Daily Reconciliation experience

- Computer Data Entry experience

- Experience with Employee Timesheets

- Strong familiarity with Perform Data Entry

- Adeptness in cash reconciliations
