In the Local & Regional Government and Social Housing Team, we care deeply about supporting Housing Associations to get the most out of the solutions they invest in. It is our responsibility to help Housing Associations in the UK to make better decisions that result in better homes for the most vulnerable members of society. To do that, we need to help our customers become more productive, to get more from their data, and to digitize as many processes as possible to free up time for their people to offer fantastic services, homes and compassion to those residents who need it the most.

 

To help our customers achieve this, Microsoft have a broad family of resources, who bring diverse perspectives to our customers. Building alliances with varying stakeholders at our customer to support their Digital Transformation journey. The Account Executive plays a crucial role in building long lasting relationships with Chief Executives, Chief Digital Officers, Chief Information Officers and key business decision makers.

 

We are currently looking for an Account Executive and Industry Leader to support and lead our most valued customers on their individual and collective digital journeys. Embracing a challenger mindset, the successful candidate will orchestrate and lead their virtual teams and close opportunities with customers that will produce transformative business outcomes. The ambitions for Housing Associations are truly inspiring and the opportunity to transform and make an impact here has never been greater.

 

The Account Executive will also take a lead role in setting the Microsoft strategy for the Social Housing market in the UK, engaging not just with customers, but also with industry leaders, key partner organisations and market influencers to ensure Microsoft stays relevant to the sector.  You will be able to work with a broad range of technical, solution and partner resources to help execute on this vision.

 

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead programmes around skills, to represent Microsoft in industry forums and use your experience and knowledge of the digital industry and economy, to lead and open conversations for the benefit of society in the area.

Responsibilities

The Account Executive will: 

 

Business Relationship Owner: You will be responsible for defining the strategic vision, and leading the transformation with the customer’s CxO level Technology, Digital and Business Decision Makers (BDM). This requires leadership skills and ability to challenge conventional thinking. Success will come through achieving our Customer's success

 

Industry Thought Leader: You will play a key role in understanding the top trends impacting Social Housing, as well as the emerging technologies which can support innovation in the sector, take learnings from the commercial built environment sector, and work with your team and leadership team in crafting this message, and work with your virtual team to take the vision through to real customer projects and outcomes.

 

Team Mobiliser and Orchestrator: Mobilise the entire account team and direct clear opportunity ownership in strong collaboration with our Partners.

 

Sales Leader and Operational Excellence: Achieving results by understanding digital transformation drivers and customer priorities. Identifying new opportunities and helping customers accelerate their move to the digital age for their own benefit as well as their customers and stakeholders. Delivering consistent, repeatable achievement of revenue and consumption targets

 

Sales Challenger: Continuously building industry and technical knowledge. Bringing innovative industry solutions, benchmarks and references to C-level executives that drive greater efficiencies, optimization and increase customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Proven senior level experience working with and leading virtual teams

Extensive experience in Enterprise Sales, Business Consulting or Consultative Selling

Experience in building go to market plans for customers or sectors

Additional training or education in Business, Sales, or Marketing preferred

Knowledge within Industry and ability to make confident recommendations to C-level, business decision makers

Public Sector or Housing Sector Sales experience is highly desirable
