    Job Description Summary

    Markets & Lending Delivery (MLD) forms part of Commercial Banking Delivery, providing specialist operational post trade support across a wide range of Markets products.

    Job Description

    We have a new opportunity for a Senior Analyst to join our Account Governance Team who are responsible for maintaining a golden source of accounts across all relevant legal entities to ensure they have appropriate ownership and governance arrangements in place.

    You'll be our central point of contact ensuring queries are taken care of on a timely basis and support all activity for account openings and closing ensuring timely completion of process steps across the value chain.

    You'll maintain positive relationships and engage with our external account providers and complete vital account opening and closing documentation.

    You'll contribute to our bi-annual attestation process on all open accounts, ensuring account owners have adequate information available to support the attestation process. Identify potential dormant accounts and initiate account opening process if account(s) identified for closure.

    You'll maintain and manage data, be confident in data analysis and the production of Management Information/Reporting packs to measure and forecast performance and identify optimisation opportunities and cost-savings.

    Accountabilities

    • Technical knowledge of the post trade landscape, with knowledge of Markets clearing and settlement activity.
    • Support all relevant relationships within the Group ensuring MLD is working in partnership.
    • Seek opportunities for cost savings. Assist key partners with programme objectives, and support the implementation of change when required.
    • Act as a point of reference providing support, guidance and product knowledge to colleagues of all levels, ensuring that the recipient understands the nature of the information provided.
    • Produce high quality Management Information/Reporting packs and ensure high level of administration, ensuring easy access to archived information. Ensure information is continually communicated and where necessary, escalation occurs in a timely manner.
    • Encourage LBG ‘Values and Behaviours’ within the role and the wider Network Management team.

    Key Capabilities/ Knowledge You'll Bring:

    • Experience of post-trade operations and products conducted through MLD – bonds, foreign exchange, wholesale payments, SWIFT message types, collateral management, custody and derivatives.
    • Good organisational skills and close attention to detail. Ability to work well under pressure and working to timescales. Tenacious approach to delivery with internal LBG colleagues and external agent bank suppliers.
    • Good interpersonal skills and ability to influence colleagues in delivering tasks across multiple departments. Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into a clear effective delivery.
    • In depth knowledge of Group policy, procedures and guidelines, quality standards and all global regulatory and statutory requirements. Knowledge of MS office systems – including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
    • A demonstrable ability to engage with senior partners at third parties and suppliers, always looking for the best result for LBG, whilst ensuring that our relationships are not compromised, whilst working in a professional manner.
