As a CPE Test Engineer, working as part of Access Network Development, you’ll be part of a growing team responsible for ensuring the network functionality (WAN/LAN) of the Sky CPE is suitable before deployment to Sky customers.

What you’ll do:

• Test new Sky CPE network products and services before deployment to Sky customers.
• Create test cases to validate new Sky CPE network features or bug fixes.
• Management of existing lab hardware and software tools to ensure a stable environment for controlled network tests. Where possible, explore new testing tools to improve efficiency.
• Create technical CPE test plans and generate test reports for distribution to the wider Sky business.
• Provide network support for technical Sky CPE trials.
• Work with other technical network teams to reproduce and investigate CPE issues, in a lab environment.

What you’ll bring:

• An understanding of Access Network technologies, including ADSL, VDSL, GFAST and FTTP.
• Relevant network testing experience in a lab environment.
• Experience with suitable bug tracking systems. i.e. Jira.
• Knowledge of relevant network technologies, ideally IPv4/IPv6, CGN, TCP/UDP, Ethernet, TR-069, DHCP, PPP.
• Experience with Wireshark and trace analysis.
• Enthusiasm for networks and testing.
• An understanding of Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi testing would be great, but not essential.
• Test Automation experience would be useful, but not essential.
