Due to expansion within the team, a fast-growing MSP in Newcastle are looking for a 1st Line Engineer to join their team.
You will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users and customers, resolving issues and escalating more complex queries to other teams and accurately log all issues. Due to the fast-paced nature of this role, experience working for a Managed Service Provider or in a Service Desk environment would be highly advantageous. Candidates are also expected to have excellent customer-service skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting technical issues.
Roles and Responsibilities: Respond to, log and resolve first line support tickets within the Service Management software. Provide face-to-face and remote support to users in a timely, friendly and efficient manner. Take responsibility and ownership of incidents, escalating to other teams where required. Complete relevant documentation where required. Provide first-class service to customers.
Skills required: Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role Good understanding of Windows Desktop Microsoft Office including Office 365 Some understanding of Network technologies - LAN/WAN/WLAN Excellent communication skills Willingness to learn The company is offering working hours Monday - Friday 8-5 with flexible home-working arrangements and excellent training opportunities.
