This role is responsible for the design, development, implementation and optimization of the Seller Risk program for Walmart Canada Marketplace to ensure that third-party sellers on Walmart.ca adhere to marketplace policies applicable to sellers across our online marketplace business and anticipating and developing strategies to respond to compliance risks and Walmart Canada Marketplace business requirements.

This role will collaborate closely with the Global Trust & Safety team and other teams across the business to ensure strategic alignment and a uniform and consistent approach to Seller Vetting, Seller Performance and Seller Fraud Management.

1. Enhance and optimize existing Seller Vetting processes to drive a consistent and effective approach to trust and safety vetting of third-party sellers prior to onboarding.
2. Design, develop and implement the Seller Performance management program including:

• Establishing the methodology for assessing third-party seller violations;
• Defining and implementing the investigation framework for flagged third-party sellers; and
• Recommending and managing the suspension and termination of non-compliant third-party sellers.

3. Design, develop and implement a framework for the detection, management, and termination of fraudulent third-party sellers.
4. Define success metrics for areas of responsibility and integrate them into core operational Marketplace business metrics.Ensure regular and effective reporting to the Marketplace business that encompasses compliance results and provide regular updates to senior management.
5. Collaborate and partner closely with the Global Trust & Safety team and other teams across the business to ensure strategic alignment and a uniform and consistent approach to Seller Vetting, Seller Performance and Seller Fraud Management.
6. Document, evaluate and measure Seller Risk program processes and frameworks in order to close compliance gaps and drive continuous improvement by implementing process improvement plans.
7. Collaborate with and engage compliance subject matter experts (with a key focus on the AML, Responsible Sourcing, Product Safety and Trade subject matter areas) as part of the design, implementation and optimization of the Seller Risk program.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college.
• Minimum 5 year of working experience including 3 years in Marketplace Seller Performance, Compliance, auditing, eCommerce Compliance related areas.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Case Management System and Tools,and Microsoft Office.
• Strong time management and organizational skills, effectively prioritizes work time to ensure productivity and fulfills department standards for time spent.
• Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
