This role is responsible for the design, development, implementation and optimization of the Item Risk program for Walmart Canada Marketplace to ensure that third-party seller items offered on Walmart.ca adhere to regulatory compliance and Walmart Canada Marketplace business requirements.
This role will collaborate closely with the Global Trust & Safety team and other teams across the business to ensure strategic alignment and a uniform and consistent approach to Trust and Safety rules and prohibited item guidelines, the management of non-compliant products and the item escalation program.
1. Enhance and optimize the Walmart Canada Marketplace Rules framework to drive a consistent and effective approach to trust and safety vetting of third-party seller items sold on Walmart.ca.This includes development and effective communication of appropriate market policies and prohibited product guidelines.
2. Design, develop and implement the High-Risk Item Review program including the review, assessment and, if appropriate, coordination of the removal of flagged high-risk third party seller items.
3. Design, develop and implement a comprehensive framework to detect and manage potential Non-Compliant Items (IP / Counterfeit / Non-Compliant) including item removal, management of regulatory contacts and related third-party seller communication.
4. Design, develop, and implement a comprehensive Item Escalation process that leverages social media, customer service and prohibited item detection channels to efficiently and effectively manage compliance risks and related communication to senior leadership.
5. Define success metrics for areas of responsibility and integrate them into core operational Marketplace business metrics.Ensure regular and effective reporting to the Marketplace business that encompasses compliance results and provides regular updates to senior management.
6. Collaborate and partner closely with the Global Trust & Safety team and other teams across the business to ensure strategic alignment and a uniform and consistent approach to Rules Creation, High-Risk Item Review, Non-Compliant Item Management and Item Escalation.
7. Document, evaluate and measure Item Risk program processes and frameworks in order to close compliance gaps and drive continuous improvement by implementing process improvement plans.
