Community Alcohol and Drug Services (CADS) Auckland are looking for a full time registered AOD clinician to work in our Altered High Youth Service based in Kingsland.
CADS are the largest Alcohol and other Drugs (AOD) service in New Zealand working with over 15000 people each year. CADS provide free community and inpatient AOD treatment from a number of locations across Auckland. CADS are committed to empowering the community to discover healthier use of substances (harm minimisation) and to promote recovery and wellbeing.
The CADS Altered High Youth Service is a vibrant and innovative service for young people from the age of 13 to 20 years, who present in relation to their own, or someone else's alcohol and other drug issues. We are a mobile regional community team, based in Kingsland. We provide a service that strives to maintain and improve quality, standards of clinical practice, community and professional relationships and networks, and supports the growth and development of staff.
We are currently looking for someone from a relevant professional background who has initiative and is highly motivated to work as a full-time Youth AOD Clinician. This role has a focus predominately on the Waitemata DHB area CAMHS youth population and their families / whÄnau and involves managing a caseload, including liaison and consultation with Child and Adolescent Mental Health sector (CAMHS) professionals, schools and community agencies.
Applicants will be able to demonstrate a willingness and commitment to working in partnership with Maori and Pacific Island youth services and with a range of services and sectors such as Child and Adolescent Mental Health services, Oranga Tamariki (formerly known as Child Youth and Family/CYF), Non-Government Organisations, Education and Justice. A current full driver’s licence(both manual and auto) is essential.
