Job Description

As Experiences Manager, you will be responsible for providing a delightful, high-quality experience for our learners across our product portfolio. Doing so requires an obsession with product quality and craftsmanship, with an eye for design and emphasis on inclusivity and good user flows. You will lead a cross-functional team of PMs and designers in concert with engineering peers to bring features and products to market. You will help define the vision, prioritize the roadmap, own the business metrics, as well as oversee the health of the experiences and execute in a way that encourages creativity and continuous improvement -- all while keeping the customer at the center. You will bring creativity to solving problems in ways that allow for greater scale and mobility and leverage industry best practices and customer feedback to deliver high customer and business value.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Identify and lead strategic Worldwide Learning product experience initiatives
  • Listen to customers to understand their needs
  • Build a team culture of curiosity and growth, embracing customer focus and continued learning
  • Foster an environment that enables everyone to realize their full potential
  • Define goals related to user experience, constantly evolving based upon customer feedback and market conditions
  • Drives clarity on required work to drive user engagement and satisfaction
  • Work with partner teams to successfully deliver global and inclusive cohesive product experiences
  • Discover and implement UX best practices to reduce friction for users
  • Lead quality design and experience outcomes within agile engineering environments
  • Recruit and build a strong experiences team, and mentor, coach, and grow team members
  • Be accountable for the quality of features that ship to customers

To be successful in this role, you must have strong verbal and written communication skills, a positive attitude, and the creativity to tackle hard, ambiguous problems in innovate ways. You also thrive in a team environment that values cross-team collaboration and building on the success of others.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in User Experience, Product Experience, and/or Human-Centered Design
  • 4+ years of experience managing and leading teams
  • Passion for quality with strong customer empathy and focus
  • An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating relevant experience
  • Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
  • Expertise in product experience, user experience, experience design, and interaction design
  • Experience listening to customers and stakeholders to understand their requirements and then iterating designs to meet their needs
  • Track record of delivering innovation and results through leadership and collaboration and strong project management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills through all levels of an organization
  • A degree in one of the many product design fields or equivalent experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to think creatively and critically about the best experience for the customer
  • Expertise with compliance, security, privacy and accessibility standards
  • Familiarity with common design tools (Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
