The Manukau team covers Otahuhu to the Bombay Hills, and have a focus on the construction, manufacturing, logistics and occupational health industries. This team works collaboratively, therefore we are seeking a self-aware individual who is willing to contribute to the team's goals and is also able to ask for assistance when needed. Due to the multilingual nature of Auckland, the successful candidate will need to have exceptional communication skills. Experience in occupational health or mental health is highly sought after, as are speakers of a second language.
WorkSafe inspectors are out in the community everyday, conducting assessments and investigations, educating well meaning workers and business owners about how they can contribute to a safe workplace while enforcing health and safety legislation. The world of work continues to grow in complexity, and WorkSafe inspectors need to be able to traverse across all sectors and manage the associated issues.
This may have been a role you never thought about, but you may have all of the skills we’re looking for. Health and safety is undergoing a major shift in New Zealand, and you could be a part of inspiring others to change the culture to make offices, sites, farms, factories and other work places over New Zealand safer for their workers.
