Matthews Liquor has been operating since 2015 and has made their mark on the local wine scene. Matthews Liquor owns and operates 4 bottle shops with a view to own 3 more by end of January 2022.

Matthews Liquor is searching for an experienced and highly motivated Team Leader / Wine Consultant to work in a full-time capacity from their Moonee Ponds store, Monday to Friday 10.00 am to 7.00 pm.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the Moonee Ponds store
• Providing recommendations on wine and beverage selections to customers
• Ensuring appropriate stock levels in store
• Researching and providing advice on wine selections
• Maintaining the highest level of wine, grower and supplier knowledge, being up to date with the latest products, growing regions and vintages
• Identifying wines, wine components and wine characteristics
• Managing relationships with wineries, suppliers and agents
• Ensuring compliance with OH&S, licencing and other regulations

Your experience:

• Responsible Person and RSA VIC required
• At least 3 years experience in wine sales and/or hospitality industries
• Demonstrated wine business acumen
• Current valid Australian driver's license
• Excellent communication skills
• Passion for wine and branding
