The Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator will assist in providing a direct client service to residents of the Residential Care Home.

The Coordinator is accountable to the Executive Officer/Director of Nursing, through the Hostel Manager, for the provision of assistance with diversional activities for Aged Care Residents.

Diversional activities are those which encourage independence and maintenance of a sense of self esteem for residents by encouraging them to be involved in social and recreational events. The incumbent is responsible for the development and coordination of therapeutic and educational programs for older persons and people with disabilities, who require organised activities as part of their daily lives.

The Coordinator will have completed AQF Certificate III relevant to the position.

This is a part time vacancy, working 32 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Screening/Check and specific immunisation requirements. COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement under the Emergency Management (Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination) (COVID-19) Directions 2021 to work in SA Health/health care setting.
