Web Developer - Ruby On Rails

My financial client is looking for an experience Ruby on Rails Developer to join a busy web development project team.

Duties

• Producing low level design and technical specification required for development and unit testing of a Web Portal Application
• Following the Solution Design and ensuring aligning to the requirements defined by the Business User.
• Responsible for development and unit testing and liaising with Testing team to ensure application code is tested end to end prior to Deployment.
• Responsible to provide application support to Business Users and other IT teams

Essential skills

• 2+ Years of extensive experience in developing complex web applications using Ruby on Rails
• Experience and detailed understating of using RubyGems
• Coding and designing REST APIs
• Have designed websites and backend systems and APIs to a high standard of security, reliability and operability
• SDLC, Git based versioning systems and CI/CD, automated functional and integration tests
• Some experience in full stack development (UI, API, Service, Storage)
• Expert in Java Scripts and CSS concepts
• Collaboration Tools such as Trello/JIRA
• Understanding of MYSQL Database and Ubuntu Operating system

Desirable

• Understanding of Microservice Architecture
• Understanding of Azure Cloud Infrastructure, Docket, Kubernetes, etc
• Experience of working in Financial Services.

You must be an excellent communicator who can self task and work effectively within a remote team environment.
