POSITION SUMMARY
The Package Handler’s position is a physical fast-paced and labor-intensive role within a warehouse environment that involves sorting/stocking packages as well as loading and unloading them into and out of UPS package delivery vehicles and trailers.
WORK SCHEDULE AND INFORMATION
Work Days/hours: Monday to Friday, 3-5 hours (Candidate needs to be available all 5 days of the week)
Expected availability: 1:30 am - 09:30 am (Flexibility in shift start and end time may be required - hours are based on volume and are not guaranteed)
Work Location: 474 Welham Road, Barrie, ON L4M 4S7
Pay Rate: Starting at $15.50 per hour
EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 18 years of age
Ability to lift 70 lbs. unassisted
Available to work daily Monday through Friday
Ability to read and memorize postal codes
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
Comfortable working inside truck trailers and package delivery vehicles
Ability to work in a warehouse environment with changing temperatures as per the weather condition
No prior experience required
Compensation and Benefits:
$15.50/hr and automatic progression as per the Union Collective Agreement (top rate after 48 months: 26.79/hr)
