Reports to: Manager, Distribution and Procurement

A Receiver/Picker is responsible for receiving deliveries and collecting supplies to fill requisition lists for location shipments. They are tasked with inspecting, sorting and storing both incoming and outgoing stock. Duties and responsibilities are to be carried out while adhering to all company policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities 

Check invoices and picklists to ensure deliveries and shipments are accurate

Mark any missing items on invoices to ensure proper accounting and inventory

Maintain cold chain for all perishables, ensuring all product is received, shipped, and stored at proper temperatures

Adhere to Manitoba Food Safe requirements

Execution of all cleaning checklists to ensure a safe and clean work area

Ensure outgoing product is fresh and packaged properly, free of damage and with production date labels, being aware of FIFO procedures

Load supplies on racks for placement in the cooler and vehicle entrance, ensuring that the drop off sequence is correct 

Maintain the picker/driver area by cleaning and organizing all areas before and after use 

Ensure proper organization & cleanliness of all storage areas, including walk-ins

Know and follow all Stella’s emergency and safety procedures

Ensure that all food handling and general safety standards are a first priority

Exhibit personal uniform and hygiene per company standards

Other duties as assigned
